New and Improved

by Teresa Smith on February 20, 2012

Monday morning, a week ago, I woke up cold. It was unusual being cold. I’ve got a thermostat and it allows me to keep my house comfortable all year long. Not too cold, not too hot. I…was cold. I got up, stumbled to the thermostat and saw it was 61 degrees. It should have be 68. Later, I realized that my heating unit was no longer working. I called several companies, met with several people. The agreed decision was that I needed to replace both my heating and air-conditioning units. Mine were nearly 14 years old. I’ve also had to replaced freon in the air conditioning unit several times.

I’ve been thankful that the whole week brought above average temperatures and sunshine. My brother donated a couple of heaters and all has been fine. I’ve not been pressured or rushed to make any quick decisions.

All of the representatives have been informing me of the newer, more efficient units. I started thinking that as humans, we are always creating the newer model, the more efficient item, the more powerful, sleeker item. Isn’t it strange that we constantly seek improvement of things we purchase or own, but are slow to do the same for ourselves.

How often, when we have some extra cash, do we want to run out and purchase the newest toy, a new and improved cell phone, a new camera with all the bells and whistles. How often do you take that extra money and invest in yourself. Just like appliances, we need upgrades and improvement over our lifetime. We should constantly be learning and improving who we are.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to think that every year, we were new and improved. I was in a conversation with a friend of mine Sunday night. We were talking about the conscious mind and the unconscious mind. Our desire was to look at certain situations in our lives, highlight them, rewrite those situations into a more positive perspective, and save those to our hard drive.

My friend and I have a technique that can accomplish just that. TAT, Tapas Acupressure Technique. I may not be exactly where I want to be in life, I may not be totally content in my life. However, over the years, I’ve dealt with many allergies, physical conditions, and situations in my life using TAT. I have the desire to be someone different, to grow, to improve who I am. It’s not that I’m not satisfied with who I am, it’s simply knowing that my life is a journey and a healthy person is someone who is constantly growing, improving. Think of a body of water. We all know that if water is trapped and there is no movement, it becomes stagnant. On the other hand, water that is constantly moving is more pure.

Take a look at your own life. Are there areas which could use some improvement? If so, go to www.TATLife. Download the free instructions. Use techniques like TAT to rewrite your life, upgrade, become the new and improved. If you need assistance, feel free to contact me here or through Facebook and together we can upgrade your hard drive, your life. Feel free to leave a comment.

Blessings in the coming week
