ladybug 300x225 LadyBugsWhen you love photographing nature, it’s rough to sit inside an office working on a beautiful, sunny day knowing the weather forecasters are predicting blustery gray skies for the weekend. The past few Saturday’s have been just like that. I’ve been heading up to the mountains every time I can, to capture the beauty of Fall in this area. My two favorite times of the year are Spring and Fall. There is something special about the vibrancy in nature during those periods.

The first week I head to the mountains, the leaves had not even begun to turn. Everything was green. The second week, there was a surprise snowfall and many areas were unreachable. This past weekend… most of the leaves were gone!  I was amazed. Apparently all of this had transpired during the week while I was sitting at my desk.

I checked out many of my favorite places… and to my surprise, each destination had the same outcome, bare trees. I was able to take a few pictures, but not to the extent of the previous years.

At one of my destinations, It was completely barren. There was still the beautiful rushing of water below, but the colors were gone. I started looking around for something to photograph. I came upon about 5 or 6 lady bugs. Most people probably thought I was crazy for photographing lady bugs with the beauty of the falls below, but I like to find beauty and fun in everything.

Luckily, I caught a cute picture with the ladybug… well, I thought it was cute. As I was trying to focus in on the ladybug, it open it’s wings and flew off.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… don’t get so busy or have a set agenda that you aren’t willing to bend a little. We can all find beauty and fun in simple things, even something as small as a ladybug. It sure cheered me up!

Blessings to you throughout the coming week,

Teresa,
Look at you!!!! When the plant life goes into full winter, you are given the animal life to photograph for Mother Nature!
She is beautiful. In all of her glory. Could be the first time she’s been photographed ever.
Spread your wings. She is having fun too! :)
I looked up the animal spirit of a lady bug and this is what it says:

Beetle/Ladybug’s Wisdom Includes:

Carries the Golden Strand that leads to the Center of the Universe
